主講人介紹：王海永，2010年博士畢業(yè)于中南大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)與統(tǒng)計學(xué)院，2011-2012年在比利時魯汶大學(xué)(荷語)從事博士后研究，2013年進(jìn)入華中科技大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)與統(tǒng)計學(xué)院工作。主要從事譜方法、高振蕩問題的分析與計算等問題的研究。其與向淑晃教授給出的Legendre零點的重心權(quán)公式被Nick Trefethen（美國科學(xué)院及工程院院士、中科院外籍院士、SIAM前主席）在專著《Approximation Theory and Approximation Practice》中列為多項式領(lǐng)域的十一個關(guān)鍵公式之一。2013年獲湖南省優(yōu)博和湖北省“楚天學(xué)子”，2021年獲教育部高等學(xué)校科學(xué)研究優(yōu)秀成果獎二等獎(排名第二)，在SIAM J. Numer. Anal., Numer. Math., Math. Comp.， lMA J. Numer. Anal.等計算數(shù)學(xué)期刊發(fā)表論文三十余篇。

內(nèi)容介紹：Hermite spectral method plays an important role in scientific computing. However, it is difficult to find some sharp convergence results of Hermite spectral approximations for analytic functions. In this talk, I will introduce recent advancement on convergence analysis of Hermite approximations (including projection and interpolation) for analytic functions. In particular, our analysis establishes the root-exponential convergence of Gauss-Hermite quadrature under explicit conditions on the integrands, which has been considered as a folklore for a long time.
